Singapore $5 Bird Series banknote
The Monetary Authority of Singapore issued Singapore Dollar banknotes in 12 different denominations, including this 5 Singapore Dollars banknote (Bird series). They are part of the withdrawn Singapore Dollar banknotes series. The Monetary Authority of Singapore started issuing these 5 Singapore Dollar banknotes in 1976. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1989.
The green-purple-orange note of five dollars measures 133mm by 66mm. Text on the paper banknote reads ‘Singapore’. The bird on the $5 SGD note is a red-whiskered bulbul. On the back of the five Singapore dollars note are cable cars over Singapore harbour.
