Obverse: Depicts the back view of the Poppy and at the bottom the inscription , “LEST WE FORGET”, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, face value and the issuing country,
Reverse: Features the top view of the flower in color. The coin is shaped like a Poppy Flower.

Red remembrance poppies are frequently displayed in Anglo-Saxon culture to commemorate fallen soldiers and service personnel.

The custom of displaying a poppy originated in 1921 after humanitarian Moina Michael lobbied to have the poppy officially recognized as the symbol of remembrance for veterans.
